Just back from a short break in the West of Ireland. The highlight was a visit and tasting at the Sligo Oyster Experience in Strandhill. Our host was informative and amusing, and we enjoyed a generous helping of delicious, fresh oysters. We would all go again and recommend this visit as 2 hours very well spent whilst in Sligo, whatever the weather.

I took a group on the private oyster farm tour in Strandhill yesterday. They had such an amazing time. Set in one of the most scenic parts of Ireland, Aisling was a wealth of knowledge about the fine art of oyster farming and provided the group with plenty of world-class yet locally sourced cuisine to sample. I'll definitely be recommending visitors to enjoy this one of a kind experience.
